The Annapolis Maritime Museum is located in the capital city of Annapolis, overlooking the Annapolis Harbor and the Chesapeake Bay. The museum showcases the history of the Annapolis area maritime heritage on the site of the area's last oyster packing plant, the McNasby's Oyster Packing Company. Highlights of the museum include the "Oysters on the Half Shell" exhibit and tour of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse.

The Maryland State House was once the location of the Nation's capital, the "First Peacetime Capitol".
